The Sneaky Week

The month of December is full of sneaky surprises.  I will never cease to be amazed at the light speed in which this month seems to take on.  I always think that there is plenty of time, but there is never enough time.  There seems to be a giant December black hole that grabs every spare moment and makes it disappear forever.  In the end the month comes and goes and all that is accomplished pales in comparison to the wonder of our Dear Savior's birth.  Thank you for coming and saving us precious Lord Jesus.  He will save His people from their sins.  Our sins are forgiven!!!

We have been thinking about this wonder of wonders this week.  Zoe and Bennett have made many mangers throughout the house...chairs, blankets, tables, lights...how delightful for them to imagine such wonderous thoughts.  The world stands still when the Eternal meets with the humble.  May He abide with us now and forever.  I love this place!

Away for a Day

Under normal circumstances a day away from the Pursley Place makes me long for home.  However, today, was different.  What makes it even more unusual is that I was at the hospital, which always makes one want to be home even more.  But today, today, I was with a friend that is sunshine every time that I see her.  She had to have three tests in order to obtain an update on her status after several chemotheropy treatments.  I really enjoyed her company and the hospital staff was gracious and kind at every place we went.

The children enjoyed a day with grandma and they really did have a great day!  I was happy to catch up with them at Aunt Susie's house.  She was giving them a much needed hair cut.  They look spectacular, they always have my eye.  When we returned home the tea pot boiled.  Dinner was started.  We were resting.  May our rest be in the Lord now and forever.  I love this place!

Book Signing Success

Thanks to all who came to a book signing event here in Columbus.  There have been three and all have been wonderful.  I enjoyed talking to each one of you and appreciated the encouragement and support.  If anyone has read the book and you liked it, please set up an Amazon account and write a review for me.  This will help me and anyone who may be searching for a book like The Days of Creation.

We stayed close to home today...we had weather.  I always enjoy extreme weather.  Weather is uncontrollable and makes me think about the majesty of creation and how frail we are against it.  How we need a Shelter and a Strong Tower to be our guard.  Thank you Lord Jesus for bringing peace between God and man.

The weather kept my "diva chickies" in their coop again today.  We kept the inside nice and warm and filled it will lots of clean straw.  They were all relaxed and fluffy every time we checked on them.  We enjoyed watching lots of wild birds today.  We put out seed for them.  It is comforting to see wildlife in the winter.  I love this place!

Good Start

This was a day that started good and stayed good.  We started with a good breakfast...Jim made pancakes.  Thanks so much!  Zoe and Bennett helped and breakfast was delicious!  As the morning faded into afternoon we sat on the sofa and read some great books.  The books were even more fun when we added hot tea and blankets.  When the time for dinner fell upon us we made preparations for enjoying a great evening with "daddy".  Now it is time to end the day...I love this place.

Science Club Day

What a great celebration today with our Science Club pals.  A prayer was said thanking The Lord Jesus for a good year of learning and friendship.  Scientific ornaments were made by dipping pipe cleaners in a heavy borax mixture and suspending then for an hour or two.  They are really pretty!  We were happy when we returned home and were able to relax with each other and play with the dog.  Our "diva chickies" were given some scraps and fresh water.  I love this place!

Pursley Place

Hello friends!  This is the first blog.  Taking time for clean up after a weekend of book signing events.  Wow!  Things were a little dis-organi-zized!  We did a quick clean up then started on laundry.  Looks like it is time to do the dishes again and check the chicken cooking in the crock-pot.  We also put the December sheets on Zoe and Bennett's beds.  They were very excited.  So glad that the Lord has given us this place.
